Designed by printmaker Matt Bagley in 2013, the Studio Print Frog® Glass Baren brings the trusted performance of the original Print Frog® design to artists who want control, consistency, and comfort in their everyday printing practice.

Produced exclusively by Iron Frog Press in Dallas, Texas, each Studio Print Frog® is hand-blown from recycled glass by skilled Texas glass artists. Every baren is individually inspected and tested at Iron Frog Press before shipping.

Whether you are working in a professional print studio, teaching a class, or creating prints at home, the Studio Model provides smooth, even pressure for clean hand-pulled prints—without the need for a printing press.

Please Note About This Individual Baren
This Studio Print Frog® has a raised ridge on the top of the handle and a slight slope in the handle, both visible in the photos. These are natural variations from the hand-blown glassmaking process and do not affect the baren's printing performance.

Because each Print Frog® is handmade, slight variations in shape, size, color, and small air bubbles are natural characteristics of the glassmaking process.

The rounded handle supports a natural hand position, helping reduce fatigue during longer printing sessions while allowing artists to maintain control and sensitivity.

It also performs well with a variety of papers and materials, including kozo, mulberry, vellum, and heavy printmaking papers.

Not recommended for encaustic monoprinting or pigment grinding.
